Flight Dynamic Stability Prediction
Recent computational methods for more efficient and accurate quantification of unsteady aerodynamic loads on the aircraft will be presented
The efficient and accurate quantification of unsteady aerodynamic loads on the aircraft is crucial for stable flight dynamics over the complete flight envelope. Recent computational methods will be presented which are based on a small perturbation approach to the Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations allowing for a significant time speed-up by computing dynamic derivatives compared to traditional methods of time-accurate unsteady simulations.
