Gender & Diversity

We recognise the importance of both variety and diversity. We see people with diverse careers and professional backgrounds as an enrichment to our university. We are committed to gender equality, equal treatment and diversity at our university.

We have implemented the following measures:

• by signing the Diversity Charter, we have committed ourselves to actively appreciating all members of society, regardless of their gender, age, origin and skin colour, sexual orientation, religion or belief, or any physical or mental disability.
• we implement equal opportunities for women and men at all levels in of the university and strengthen the gender and diversity awareness of all employees and students through appropriate measures (e.g. a mentoring system to promote women in technical study programmes).
• through our "university and family" audit, we have set ourselves the goal of promoting the reconciliation of work and family on the one hand, and of improving the chances of studying with children by means of family-friendly conditions on the other. We thereby advocate the image of a modern family with a strong alignment to the different phases in our lives.
