Get to know your study programme
During the first three semesters of the BCi bachelor programme you will have various courses introducing the fundamentals of business management and economics to you: among others, these courses comprise Introduction to Business Administration, Fundamentals of Accounting, Corporate Finance, Marketing and Sales, Micro- and Macroeconomics, Legal Systems and Principles, Business Software Systems as well as courses intending to improve students' soft skills, like Social & Professional Skills.
In the 3rd semester students have the option to apply for an exchange semester at one of our 80 partner universities scattered all around the globe. Students who can take that opportunity are exempted from the adademic programme in Wiener Neustadt for the 3rd semester.
In the 4th semester students are required to choose one of 3 fields of specialisation:
- International Accounting & Finance (IAF)
- International Marketing & Sales (IMS)
- International Human Resources & Management (IHM)
Please take a look at the curriculum of the bachelor programme, where you can see an overview of the basic business courses taught irrespective of the chosen specialisation as well as the courses taught in the areas of specialisation.
In the 6th, and final, semester the main activity is an internship in a company approved by the university, either in Austria or abroad. The duration of this internship is at least 15 weeks.
2 bachelor papers: you will have to write one bachelor paper in the 5th semester and one bachelor paper in the 6th semester alongside your internship.
